Electro-Optic LCD Glass
Aglatec’s LCD glass incorporates a liquid crystal film (PDLC) composed of two polyester layers with a transparent conductive coating and a central layer of liquid crystals dispersed in a polymer matrix. The film has a total thickness of approximately 385 μm and is available in various sizes, with active surfaces up to 1800 mm wide and lengths up to 2900 mm. Electrical activation occurs at 60 VAC, enabling rapid switching between opaque and transparent states, with response times under 0.1 seconds and low power consumption.

Operation and applications
When not powered, the glass appears opaque, ensuring privacy and visual screening. When electrically activated, the liquid crystals align, allowing light to pass through and making the glass transparent. This technology is widely used in commercial, healthcare, and industrial settings, as well as in interior design, wherever dynamic control of visibility and light exposure is required.

Technology and customization
Aglatec provides LCD glass configurable according to project requirements, with various electrical contact arrangements and solutions designed to ensure installation effectiveness and safety. The ability to customize dimensions, integration, and usage modes makes LCD glass a versatile, functional, and aesthetically clean solution, suitable for professional and advanced architectural contexts.
