Advanced Glass Technology

Aglatec, acronym for Advanced Glass Technology, was founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Sergio Amidei with the goal of enhancing and developing advanced expertise in the field of electroconductive glass. From the very beginning, the company has stood out for its strong focus on innovation and its entrepreneurial spirit, which has driven rapid and steady growth over the years.

This year, Aglatec celebrates 20 years of experience: a well-established company recognized for its technical specialization and industrial vision, serving as a benchmark in Italy and steadily expanding internationally.

Aglatec’s mission is to develop and produce high-tech glass solutions, combining Italian artisanal tradition with continuous research and product innovation. The company mainly operates in the sectors of electroconductive glass, No Frost (anti-fog) glass, and heated glass panels, with applications ranging from custom design for ice cream and pastry shop displays to series production for commercial and industrial refrigeration.

In addition to these solutions, Aglatec has expanded its offering by introducing LCD glass technology, which can switch from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button, finding applications in construction and mid-to-high-end interior design. The company’s goal is to provide reliable, customizable, and technologically advanced products, supporting each project with expertise and flexibility.

People are at the heart of Aglatec. Technical knowledge, artisanal craftsmanship, and the experience of its workforce coexist daily with innovation and the development of tailor-made solutions. The company primarily collaborates with long-established producers in the ice cream and pastry sectors, bringing to them the quality and creativity of Italian artisanal tradition.

Since 2022, Aglatec has undertaken a significant organizational evolution through its parent company, Working Glass, also led by Sergio Amidei, which acquired the business branch of Vetreria Vallesina, a historic supplier. This move allowed the company to expand its workforce to around 30 employees and to internalize new processes such as cutting, drilling, and grinding of flat and shaped glass, managing the product completely from raw sheet to finished component.

Aglatec’s growth path looks toward the future, with the aim of continuing to invest in innovation, skills, and development, maintaining technological glass as its core business while progressively entering new markets and applications.
